Timewarp, Insect Sun, Electric Universe, Masada and a lot more make some very uplifting and emotional music (in the "classical" trance form). Check out their respective albums (all of them are very well produced and have a unique edge to the music).
If you want some more progressive stuff, Human Blue, ManMadeMan, Tristan, Cosma on the more progressive side, X-Dream's wonderful Rewind, Synthetic for the dancefloor friendly stuff, the list is way too long.
I do have to say that today's music is much more scientific in it's attitude, that may be a problem for some people, not for me (even though I miss the free richness of the sound).
