Phantasm EP is the impressive debut of Romanian Psy-Trance duo Eleusyn. If you miss hypnotic inducing Trance music, give this EP a try.
Eleusyn
Eleusyn is a recently started project by E-Mantra (Emanuel Carpus) and Reasonandu (Alexandru Dimitrescu) from Romania. They define their style as power Psy-Trance with hypnotic arrangements and this Phantasm EP is their official debut.

1. Dusk Lights
The EP kicks off with Dusk Lights, the slower track of the bunch. A bouncy bassline and a punchy kick for what turns out to be more of a Trance track with strong melodic psychedelic influences. Dusk Lights really takes life once a darkish bass synth leaves place to a sweet morning melody in constant evolution that remains in focus for the rest of the track. The percussion could have probably been more developed, but other than that a good start.
2. Fractal Strings
The speed steps up with this Fractal Strings that does not lose time to introduce a fairly classic full-on kick and rolling bassline combination. Psy/Goa-like synths evolve on top it, while acid lines are also used with great effect. Not the cheese you would expect from the current Israel Full-On, just straight banging full-on that is a pleasure to listen and dance to.
3. Gliese
The EP closes with Gliese, that compared to the previous tracks has a more atmospheric and dreamy mood. The track is floaty and driving at the beginning, before getting banging and darker once the acid lines are used in full effect just before the half of the track. A really excellent track and the best way to close this release.
Verdict: Great shame that probably this EP has not received the attention it deserved. Unfortunately this is what happens with the current frenetic distribution pace. If you are into Psy music give this release a try because you are not going to be disappointed.

I'm all for Gliese, that's a powerful energetic track. Fractal Strings sound a bit more jumpy, but evolves in the right manner to something more psychedelic than you would think at the start.
