Eletronika without Trance (Belo Horizonte)

There are going to be held in Belo Horizonte a Eletronika Festival, a festival for the "New tendencies of Music". But the organizers only forgot the Trance Music. They said on the city newspaper that BH already has lots of Trance parties, and that they are not interested on that. What kind of festival that would be??? BH one more time is loosing an oportunity to develop as a city. For me it sounds kind of a prejudice against the trance moviment/music. That is ok, we are bigger than those people. We can make our own GREAT parties... Trance is only THE BEST |

I agree that a festival called "Eletronika" should include trance music however this is the 5th time it happens and it never included trance.
I don't see a problem with it though, because the producers are focused on other styles of eletronic music and it's a completely different event than our usual trance parties and festivals.
In fact, I think it's a great iniciative to bring more eletronic music events in general to our city. *** PLUR *** |

I have to agree with u guys when u say trance parties ( and trance culture) are completely diferent from all the others eletronic styles.
They have never putted trance in none of thepreivous eletronika issues.But this year there will be 2 TRANCE LIVE ACTS .U can check the website :www.eletronika.com.br and check in eletronika bh 4,7/8 saturday .Stereographic and Insane bugs are 2 upcoming night music live acts from Belo Horizonte.Its a fact they dont hv a good hour to play( they will play saturday at 20:00)but its a nice beggining for trance get more space,even beeing so diferent from the others.

i agree with u android when u say that trance culture is different........ but trance is electronic music too, and deserves a space where it can be showed to people who don't know......... it's very nice to see that 2 live acts will happen......... it's time to people in electronic music forget personal taste and be professional.

Stereographic is andre santana ( i make music togheter with him...dark style..twisted music)
Insane bugs is thiago(boi) also night music...but not so twisted and dark..but really good quality of the audio.

Come on guys, what's up with all you? THE only and THE best eletronic music for you guys is trance? its true that the fest should have some trance artists and as android said their are a couple, but have to put up with comments like:

I think that is out of order.
Recently in the uk their was a festival called Glade Festival ( http://www.gladefestival.com ) it is true that the trance artists were very interesting but also the other artists outside of trance were also very interesting.
IMO a festival like this is great for you to experience and hear other types of music which you may never have heard before and then it is up to you decide wheather it is good or not.
p.s. a bit off topic but when you guys talk about trance culture what do you mean? I believe this trance culture has now reached the main stream and it is fading/disfusing by the day. From the pictures I saw from the GMS tour I serious doubt the trance culture is still alive as it was 3-4 yrs ago. a good example of this is parties every weekend, enourmous line-ups, capitalism and night clubs destinated to trance.

You guys are too naive. How can a festival like this suck?I enjoyed myself a lot during the previous editions, especially last year when Eletronica brought KRUDER & DORFMEISTER TO PLAY. Simply amazing.
Music is good for its quality, no matter the style or type.
