Is it just me but is their a new elektro era coming? especially from hommega people, first it was IM with a few of their tracks in converting vegetarians, then it was sub6 with their new album, and now I've just checked IM website and started to listen to 'cities of the future' which you can download from their site and quickly had to close because that was a step to far.
I don't normaly post topics like this but this is really bugging me for a while. what are your thoughts on this?
p.s. what I mean by elektro is the vocals with some distortion and in a way cheesy lines. dont even know if that is the correct word to apply here, but hopefully you guys will get what I mean.

Clown is right without a doubt the elmshorn gang are the only ones who do it proper!!
Midimiliz aka DER INTERPET were the first to introduce the real electro sound to our scene!!!

I failed to find electro influences in Sub6's last album. I hear strong Leftfield influences and little bit housey touches (the stabs) but electro?
BTW if you want the proof that electro is becoming the hot trend these days, check out the new Prodigy tune. It's totally 80's.

I find that people here have reading comprehension problems... 
Neutron, what you talk about it not electro, but just a trend of sound manipulation now becoming more common in Trance. I think IM started with it when they did 'electro panic'

Yes indeed... i just saw Dj Hell from Gigolo Records this weekend in Porto and i tell you, the man is great!! THAT is electro!!
i think what neutron was trying to say wasn't electro but, how pavel well said, some house influences!!
Remember this: everything is evoluting(i don't know if this is the correct word), and so is trance!!

Electronic-influence has become a boom in a lot of plugged music styles of today. Specially House/Techno and synth-dominated Popmusic of today but also many other kinds of music. So it is just the consequence of the time that Psytrance is influenced too. But I realy do not think that some Psytrance producers are the roots of an electronic era  .... we just got a small piece of the "Electro-cake", too.

What Im trying to say is e.g. sub 6 - on the ground, the music is great but when it gets to its last 2 minutes it starts some vocals, which IMO i dislike it very much specially when Im dancing it sounds very pop-dance I don't know, I just like to know your opinion guys.
Someone said electro panic, I would say electro panic is alright because the only thing is said on that track is 'eleeectro panic' but tracks like IM - cities of the future which contains almost full lyrics with is a bit too much for my liking what do you think?
* maybe the word electro is wrong, it could be house or it could be dance. but its just the vocals nothing else in the track.

neutron, tell me somethin... you don't like those vocals you said, or you don't like vocals (lyrics) at all in trance music?
.......
i think trance is changing, as everything else, and it's good to see some innovation in the music scenne, altough not everyone enjoy that... and yes, i also think that the track of Sub 6 you're talkin would be better without those vocals (a litlle bit pop IMO)..but the track sonds really good!!
