Electro long sustained note..sidechain??

Im trying to mkae that typical electro long saw note, i guess it is sidechained to another audio file i tried a long note sidechained to a kick, hihats etc..so far i had no succes., i need some tips please. Thanks in advance |

try describe it better. Is it that typical effect like used in "Ticon - u make me wanna drink more" ?

To me it sounds like its sidechained to the kick with a fairly high threshold and ratio so that it ducks in level considerably everytime the kick hits, gives that pumping effect..Gonna give it a shot when i get some time..

woow sound pretty similar to what i want, i tried sidechaining it to the kick but i did something wrong, i drew a 1 bar note maybe that was wrong in the frist place.
A guy told me i could have "ghost kick" i guess a kick that doenst soudn only for ducking signal but that i have no idea

Ok i can tell you how i did it..I used TC sidechainer, the compressor settings:
Fast attack & release, high threshold, ratio 2:1
Drew a single long note with trilogy, think it was around 2 bars, didn't use a ghost kick put the side chainer directly on the kick but maybe that's a good idea..

Just as a last favor for this thread, im trying to use sidekick sidechainer (tc has a bug and waves..wroks ok but i want less consuming cpu plug in) i dont get how it works.... |

Sounds prettu cool atropa!!!! just for the record... the pad that sounds , has the same sidechain effect? i was wondering if it was done the same way the bass is sidechained. |
