So I'm working for this guy right now and he wants something that sounds like this kind of genre. I've never done Electro before, and I tried Alien303 and Audiorealismbass for this bass sound, but I couldn't get it.

It's like really squishy. I can make an Acid sound that comes close, but not that unzipping Styrofoam sound.

This is the song. Another thing, for drums VEC sounds probably covers it I suppose, right?           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

what do you mean by "Only inversely peak control the reverb on it" and is there any specific vst you would recommend?           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

Hmmmm you need a bass patch with an open filter decay and distortion there is how dirtyness of the sound is achieved.

Your synth should allow to pitchbend at least +/- 12 semitones then draw or record automation for your pitch wheel at clever steps in your bassloops so you get that sliding effect, combine with arpegiator automat too.

Add heavy sidechain compression (kick->bass) and there you go.

Thats for Reason but im sure you can translate it to your actual synths / daw... but you can get a nice idea about how to automate to get that elektro feel.

that's a nice ass sound coming out of reason. I'm gonna just rewire to reason for this sound for now, but definitely will try to replicate this sound on a vst. Thanks.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page
