I guess im not the only one that has electrical noises coming out of my monitors when my notebook is connected to the powerchord right? and then when its running on the battery all the noise dissapears and the sound is crystal clear......any suggestions? does getting a power supply unit with no earth and 2 prongs really help? |

I have the same problem here...but with my desktop pc and just with one of monitors...the other dont have noise...
When I disconnect the cable of monitor, the noise not disappear..so, the problem is on the power line...
Here in Brazil is not common a earth way at electrical installation...so, have another way to solve the problem without a earth way?
thanks

Sounds like a classic example of a ground loop. Ground loops are a design feature & there for a good reason, 2 prong adapters are not a good permanent solution. EBtech has a ground loop isolator which supposedly maintains the earth ground, called Hum X.

At first i thought it was a problem with my motu 828, i disconnected it and routed everything through audio kontrol 1 but still humming and high pitched noises! , about an hour ago i sorted out a double insulated psu with no earth and the noises lowered drasticaly but still im not happy its driving me insane! |

My amp is battery powered.
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

First, see Kanes post, then, what I meant is take one electricity outlet, then take a divider that makes 5 3 prong out of 1 3 prong, then plug all your stuff into this one source and nowhere else, and your humming should be gone. If it is still there, you might have a faulty audio cable. Keep troubleshooting in this manner and you will find the root cause of the problem!

Also make sure you are using Stereo jacks from your monitors to your desk/soundcard and not mono ones, this can cause all kinds of hectic hum and high pitched shenanigans.
