i can t wait ,i m saving money, gonna buy it next month...
about the limitations it can be a great thing for my workflow ,so much freedom with computers , it s always about tweaking , i ll have a part of my beats covered with the machinedrum , it s really boring me to do that into the computers using sample,samplers...i dont find it fun at all

I don't think that's true. If you had decent outboard gear and a synth or two I'm sure you can make a pro sounding track. It's a very powerful machine.

sure the quality can be good , i have find that minimal live set, it s moslty the md and in some tracks with a bit of monomachine http://ruinwesen.com/static/media/wesen-planbar.mp3 .
i have been suprised about the sound quality ,with some external or computer processing it could sound even better ...i like the cheap digital sound these box can have, it s a perfect oposition to the analog sound , md+ tb 303 sound killer !

Good descision . im sure u gonna have a good time with it. I see where your coming from with computers doing everything just isnt fun anymore.... Not that its bad but i think Dedicated devices are better cuz they are meant for a specific purpose only and this can be good and easy to learn then figure out everything on a computer + there is much inspiration that comes from using them ,then looking at a screen for endless hours.

In todays age you dont need outboard gear at all to come out with pro sounding music. Limitation is key to innovation. Its just about what you like or dont

Hi Mute,
Thanks for your review on this machinedurm.
I just wanted to know if you can let us hear a sample where it was used to see how it sounds in a psytrance track ?

This beast should be really fun to play with but it's pricey.

hey Pom ,
Same drumloop sequenced in Machinedrum is used again and again by using the IDM technique video on youtube, gives interesting results everytime , i experimented more with drum patterns here to give the idea of this machines potential . the other sounds need to be properly selected to do something ineresting but yea thanks for your comment but i dont make music like this hehehe , just somethin rite off the bat not very complex sequencing either.. just a few minutes..

Who knows i might just finish it sometime , illl check out creamcrop records rite away 2

If you want some specific demo of something u want to listen , let me know ill try to do it hehe.
Cheers

it s a kind of psytrance i like nice music man, minimal with dark vibes, creamcrop were releasing that kind of stuff, artist like paps ,pea ... a bit like that track, vibes from the other side is nice too

about the machinedrum i m already sold and saving money..i think this machine will suit me very well from what i have heard with your sample and on the net, it s seems great for jaming live too .

should have it soon ,i wait for the namm show in 1 week, who know maybe they gonna annonce a new one..
for now i think for psytrance im gonna use it slave to cubase to make some beats using both, md will use is own sequencer then i ll bounce them to audio when it sound good, it seems the midi problems depends of the midi interface used,i hope ,rme have good timing in my experience.
gonna learn the beast first doing some minimal and techno using only the md and maybe a mpc2000
