nice review like always natan- don't be lazy- translate it!

this is a great album on the one hand one might say its pretty simple and dosn't break new grounds. on the other hand its so full of music and feel and the way all the different styles melt together perfectly just makes it one of the best downtempo albums for a while now. Eitan is very talented everything he does in all those different directions is always like a breath of fresh air. 9/10

Oh... and 15/10 for the cover.

Almost forgot I'd ordered this. Three weeks out and no show. I have _zero_ concern that I'll actually receive it, but I have tried to wait until it actually arrived before listening to it (ala "the old days"). I may give in and download a copy to hold me over until it arrives.

Hey TechMonkey , did you get it ?
and if so, what are your thoughts on this one ?

I did receive it shortly after that last post. It really is a very nice album! Somewhere between Frederik Ohr and Hibernation if I had to pick comparisons from the AZ catalog.

The entire album has this nice chilled cinematic feel to it with wistful undertones that come and go. Though the album lacks continuity as it doesn't stick religiously to a specific sound throughout, there aren't any "WTF was that?" moments. I think the liner notes really set the tone/mindset for the album. It is as if someone took snapshots of certain moments/feelings in their lives and somehow converted that slice of time into audio output.

Standout track for me is "Choices".

its one of those that get better with time.
that bonus 3 mixed tracks that is available digitally only is beautiful- the whole trio is a dreamy deep mix of namlook, dreamfish and pink floyd. great stuff.

Thanks again for the good words, people.

We've just released a more dancey remix EP to the track Smile for those who are into that. Info below. Another version of the EP with two more remixes by Bluetech & J.Viewz will be released to all shops in a month.

Eitan Reiter- Smile Dance Remixes EP (AlephZD04)

Release Date: October 25, 2010

Beatport Exclusive: https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/295299/smile-dance-remixes-ep

As a complementary to Eitan Reiter's highly praised debut album, Places I Miss That I Haven't Been To, Aleph Zero is pleased to offer Smile Dance Remixes EP.

We handed the irresistible original, an electronic anthem to open any day with a smile, to two expert dancefloor masters, who we feel are also real accomplished musicians. Peter

Horresvorts
gave the original his trademark twist, turning it upside down into a hypnotic funky tribal Deep House mover that has deep written all over it. Diverse beats manipulator Perfect Stranger created a real floor shaker that has the dancefloor screaming.
As a bonus, Eitan added the broken beat sexy groovy Summer in Tel Aviv.

Eitan Reiter is a multitalented genre-crossing musician and producer that has caused excitement and raised interest with everything he dabbed his hands into, be it chillout & downtempo electronica, releasing under his own name and as half of the Unoccupied duo, or dance music releasing techno/house/minimal under his own name, and psytrance as part of the LOUD duo.

Supported by: Marcus Schultz, Popof, Richie Hawtin, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Sebastian Mullaert (Minilogue), Jerome Is-mae, Filthy Rich (Spektre), Lemon 8, Dr. Motte, Anthony Pappa, Alex Kenji, John Selwey, Tom Hades, Mason (Great Stuff), Nihil Young, Mat Cooper, Wally Lopez, Orde Meikle (Slam), Ken Ishii, Dimitri Nakov (Tronic / emFire), Mark Antonio, Tom Novy, Dyno (Hell Yeah), Christian Cambas, Anderson Noise, Dandi & Ugo, Kasey Taylor, James Monro, Aldrin, Barton (Fiord), Christian Varela, DJ Vibe & more.

Track list:
1. Smile
2. Smile (Peter Horrevorts remix)
3. Smile (Perfect Stranger remix)
4. Summer in Tel Aviv
