Hi there!

I am designing a buildup where I have two rhythmic leads with a long rising pitch bend, at the last bar they go psychotic and mutilate them selfs, then the beat and main lead comes in with a band pass filter starting bun bun bun going up, at the last half bar it loops it self and raises to a high pitch like a bitch, and then it's a break off of a bricked wall beat, solo kick + reversed kick + crash and synths going up, Azax style, etc etc.

But I'm having some trouble getting the "brick wall" effect on the beat bus. So far, eq'ing, filtering, shot reverbs and delays aren't getting me where I want. If you don't know what I mean please reply and I'll find a youtube example.

So, besides slicing and dicing the audio up, what effects to you use on your beat bus when designing a build up, and how do you set them up?

What can I do to create the brick wall effect I mentioned?           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

Nop, as I said, I tried filtering, eq'ing, bit crushing (with ableton redux), reverb and delay but I cant get the same sound.

Also, what other effects do you use on the beat bus in breaks?          Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

Yes the way the track is know it has a high pass filter and a low pass filter on the bass (@ 6:02)

So what other tricks do you use on the beat bus? how would you set up a reverb or a flanger, etc?           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

You can open the wet of a reverb. Just browse some presets untill you find one that sounds good. Not too big but also not too small. And cut some low when you open the reverb.           soundcloud.com/supergroover
