it's a long time i want to know how to automate the effects in reason.
how do i gentely increase/decrease the amount of distrotion or active the reverb on specifc notes.

just press the record button on the transport and move the desired control with your mouse ... if u did that properly .... the control will have a green box surrounding it ... indicating that the parameter is now automated ... if u want to fine tune your automation ... right click on the knob and select "edit automation" .... now u can draw the automation with the pencil ... changing the grid size results in more or less resolution of the automation data ... |

yes mate i know i can do it that way but let;s say my mouse is'nt so accurate as writhing it properly.
how do i write automation? in a more accurate way?

as i told u , first record a rough data with the mouse and then tewak it with the pencil in the controller lane .. select the proper controller mod |

to do it by hand, right click the dial, and select edit automation or, in the piano roll, select the controllers (blue) button, and select the drop down controller from the list, and edit away with the pencil or line tool. |
