Never used effectrix. But different layers of dbglitch with irregular and different numbers of effected measures makes for a very interesting semi randomized effect. Does that make sense?

Effectrix hands down. It's much easier to program and automate, and way easier to use. It's also stable; that's what killed dblue glitch for me...it's not worth the constant crashes and weird quirks. The sequencing system sucks compared to effectrix too.

Not to mention that so many people have released tracks with blue glitch that it's sound is easily recognizeable anywhere, especially that tape stop sound. (Not to mentiont he vinyl effect and the x-loop on Effextrix kick way more ass anyway.)

effectrix without thinking twice
better then glitch , something like 10 glitches at the same time
and it beats manual work too just cause it is manual work as well , one that u can save , and with all the automation implanted in the effect

Yes, but I'm afraid to automate flangers like this..instant dblue.           You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

I have a tune out soon called Manic Guru. Check http://www.myspace.com/discohooligans and have a listen to some manual chopping up and flanging automation going on. On its own is in the small intro break that is fading in at the very beggining of the clip and at the 1 bar break at 00:18, + at all the chooped up vox following that...and there are more that are high passed in the mix as background effects + more longer ones on their own, but they are not on the myspace clip I have uploaded. Will post some on here soon.
I can't get dBlue since I am on a Mac and its probably not as impressive, since I am only human and not some algorithm, but it can be done, and fairly quickly (if you've been using an AKAI S1100 since 2001) to some extent anyway.

I like grouping my groovy one shots and FX, then glitching the group with Tape Stop, Modulation, Reshuffle, Reverse and Retrigger turned off.

Bounce out, and chop to your liking. Very cool for adding some variation to psychedelic tweaky bits.

agree with disco hooligans , don t even try these plugs ,it was fun few years ago but now..experiment with samplers and audio editing ,take a bit more time but it worth it. (it s what inspired these programers to make plugins like that ...but imo it s plugins for noobs of audio editing and it don t make you really stand out from others ,you need to surprise, ppl need to ask themself how the fuck you did that )
try expirment with samplers ,modulate filters ,pitch, loops points ...try bouncing a audio loop each time in a different effect then cut only the part you want and make a new loop, things like that , a lot more fun than these plugs
