I want to edit a pre-recorded musical radio program on my computer.
something like a complicated DJ set with speech on top of it.
Which program should I use?

If I understand you correct ... you just need to do some copy/paste magic? use sound forge, wavelab or any other wave editor of your choice ...           ________________________

More than copy paste.
I also need to tweak the sounds in a multitrack platform.

i used pro tools (mac) for just this in a class. works decently.

edit: my reasoning: i really like how precise you can make the edits. and the tracks work similar to cubase. not much of a learning curve if you like cubase.          The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

When i did my radio projects i used Cool Edit. They have a multi track and single track editing options. It's fairly easy to use and free as well.

They were purchased by Adobe recently and the product was updated and renamed to Adobe Audition and it costs money.
So you'll have to settle with the oldie version.
