Welll i'm a bit lost....Bah..!!!
a few months ago i was working with Reason.... but soon i realized i wanted something more....so i'm tryin Cubase....Wich Rox!!!!!!!
Yeah but i'm little bit lost when it comes to automatation... for those who already worked with Reason it was very simple...we just right Clik the mouse button over The pitch wheel For example... n choose "Edit Automatation".....so...what about in cubase??? To me it seems a bit hard ..cause some VST's are so complexed with a lot of buttons n sometimes i just can't find how to edit them....So my question is how is it done??? 'N' is it possible to do it without a midi keyboard???? Tanx To All of U !!!! 3ö««Respect»»3ö

way 1 -> use midi learn capable vsti and vstfx
eg linplug albino2
chrono-x
u-he filterscape
linplug octopus
korg legacy/m1
lots others
fabfilter volcano
ohmforce delay
camelspace /-phat
way 2 -> use generic remote
in generic remote you can midi learn all your controllers (midi cc) that you've got on your midi controller (top window). Assign those controllers in the bottom window for the specific vst - don't forget to choose the vst first.
Imo generic remote is a wonderful tool, but it holds back my inspiration. So I ended up using only midi learn capable vst's, most of them can do that anyway nowadays.
way3 -> some midi controllers let you choose the exact cc value of your knobs. On top of that some models will allow you to save presets on the controller for different vst's.
hope that helps
btw my english sucks, but your punctuation even more.

uups I've misunderstood your question, you want to do it without midi controller uupsie.
that's the way to do it as etnarama told.
this and lots more should be described in the manual of cubase... so rtfm
edit etnarama nice type skills I just wanted to confirm my wrong answer! -eh eh- soundcloud.com/epsylohm |

as etnarama said,
u should just click on the W button at the top of the vst control window to record your automatition. you can see your record then in the subtrack of the VST track in project window.there is also "show all used automatition" command to see it all done.
then when you W(rote) all automatition you wanted, you need to turn on the R button just beside the W.it means "read" the automatiotion I made.this way it will have the effect
try it out |
