Has anyone had any experience with this one? Was originally aiming to buy Presonus Firebox but this thing turned up. I currently have UA-25 which seems like a good soundcard but lacks inputs and also I want a FW rather than USB2 so it's time to upgrade.

What do you guys think of it?

I´ve tried the edirol card and id rather go for the Focusrite Saffire card since they are in the same pricegroup.           Demand recognition for the Armenian genocide 1915

I must say I am quite happy with my current UA-25, just need few more inputs and FW, so FA66 seems like a good match Read some reviews on Saffire, some seem to love it, others seem to think it's junk :/           -------------- Dark & Twisted Night Psy --------------

At this price point the least of your concerns should be D/A & A/D conversion. Just do some research on the reliability of the drivers & what latency you can expect from it & you should be good to go.           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

I know that there was alot of issues with the drivers on the focusrite boards in the beginning ( read yeard ago) but they are solved and the card sounds great, i appreciate the dsp-chip on the saffire ( filter, eq, compressor, git-amp) i usually apply the filters when im recording instruments and the compressor when recording vocals. The DA sounds alot better than my previous card M-audio 410. The Preamp adds less noise to the recorded signal. And if you don´t want the dsp-chip you can get the saffire LE which is cheaper but has identical specs minus one stereo output.

Only problem i have with the card is that the interface for controlling the internal mixer and fx is a bitch to get a hold of and unlogic to understand in the beginning. I had to RTFM to understand that one which rarely happens           Demand recognition for the Armenian genocide 1915
