you know probably the closest thing today to stalin's soviet union is north korea. oh and by the way stalin is personally responsible to more lost human lives than any other man in the whole freaking history of this planet.

Hey traveller my point was not to condone Stalin, but to point out the failure in core democratic values in the States (Namely the equality of all humans). I am sorry if you are offended, but if you really want to get into history - i guess we could discuss the abuse of the phiilipines and other us colonies and ex us colonies. Or maybe we should discuss the treatment of colored people in the United States before the desegragation (Or after segregation). Just because you dont know about this - does not mean it does not happen. Next time atleast be so kind to reply constructively ... instead of just saying "read your history" |

oh, have you been to both countries and compared the life conditions in them, or will you just use the old US-MTVcoolteenager phrase: "like, everyone knows that"? i maybe mistaken, you may have seen one of them "independent US-reporters" documentaries where the reporters got to North Corea pretending to be citizens and taping all with a hidden camera ("oh my god they eat children here!")
Stalin may be responsible to the most human deaths, but that doesn't mean that the US goverment should tend to beat his record.
and btw. USSR goverment only had one party ruling the country, and in the US they have democracy: you can select between two parties, and they both have the same program. viva la differencia. |
