we have decided to hold a competition for the guest dj spot in the next Ecliptic-Trance event, Chapter III. The way things will run are quite simple, ANYONE can apply and ANYONE can win and play at the big event... this means you!
all you have to do is send us a demo to our offices and you could win  we will listen to all demo's and contact the ones we are most interested with for some more questions.
demos must be:
1. in .wav format (no mp3s will be played ona big sound system) this also means no mp3's converted to .wavs
2. mixing by cd-j's only, no computer dj's.
3. demos must be interesting and fitting to the time 11pm: either driving progressive or super light full on. no heavy stuff, no fast stuff.
4. dj's must be within driving distance to NYC.
we will anounce the winner before the announcement of the next event.

i thought its a great way to involve the community other then with their wallets and maybe even find potential dj stars

This is a wonderful idea!! I am excited! I think that if Ecliptic Trance could get a good progressive/morning DJ to close the parties, the parties would be perfect. But don't get rid of Gavin, I swear he is better every time I hear him and perfect to open the night. Get someone that can spin and close the party with some nicer sounds. I really think NY lacks a good morning DJ. Maybe there is one… I just have never heard them? Not everyone likes full-on and this could be a step towards a more well rounded party?

Well Miami has very nice airfares to NY, but I am anything but a progressive DJ. If you need someone to bang it dark, heavy and uplifting. I would be happy to travel and play 4 U.
I can send a mix CD no problem.

great idea gaad, hmm i don't know about those dj who play "progressive jazzhouse" i think you shuld a little more specific about this, like psy (PSYCHEDELIC) taste because i always try to have more rest like sleeping at home just to skip the set of those kind of taste...

I want to get you a cd, I am working on it right now as my last one is a bit old (3 years-yowza!)...I am not driving distance, but would love to come out! I have never been to NY and would love to come play!

dj sets's are coming in nicely... some of you forgot to actually write who you are and how to contact back 
it is not part of our plan to fly in the chosen dj... if you have some method to get here...
