| 'Changing Frames' brings a new meaning to the term 'Progressive Trance'.
Echotek (a.k.a Micha Yossef) is one of those rare artists that instantly captivate your ears. His sound proudction and writing skills are second to none, and after 10 years of activities in the electronic scene, it's no wonder that this is a record you shouldn't miss.
'Changing Frames' is Echotek's 3rd studio album and his best release to date. To those unfamiliar with his previous releases we can only point out his last two artist albums, 'Application Rate' (Flow Records) and 'Emotion Chaos' (TimeStretch), gained Micha a strong fan base and high respect in the international scene.
The entire album's BPM ranges from 130 to 140, giving the listener a fine-tuned listening experience. This album brings cross over tunes that can rock both a club in Ibiza as easily as an outdoor party in Mexico.
The musical direction of the entire album varies from progressive trance with club elements to strong dancefloor attacks with an industrial atmosphere, all of which create a unique envelope of sounds throughout the album, bringing a fresh and innovative approach.

REVIEW
The albums opener "G Note" has a very eastern vibe to it with lots of string work and a hanting melody. The bassline is funky and uplifting and is a great track. An awesome track to kick the album off with."Forever nights" is a trippy track with a great use of percussion and melody a real "take you away" tune."M12" I didnt think much of as it has this annoying cricket like sound which kinda spoils an otherwise decent tune."Step on It" drops straight in with a bouncy bassline and some growling synths an interesting use of melody near the end and a break beat'ish feel make this a really decent tune."Changing Frames" is a well thought out and balanced tune with loads of funk and melody but without being over the top. A harmonica sample gives it quite an eerie feel to it but it maintains its fun element."Time and Space" starts out really well with a bouncy upbeat tempo and some serious melody and tone work that creates a a no nosence tune! A smashing build and AWESOME synth line make this a floor stomper of a tune."Strike Twice [Echotek and Atomic Pulse" is an unlikely combination if isralie full on atomic pulse and echotek. The bassline straight away is atomic pulses signature sound with its phat rolling punch. This is a interesting blend of proggressive and full on sounds and it actually works really well with no over the top moments. "Dont be " might have some of the puritans over the top with its use of vocals but they are placed really well and its not singing but balances with the melody and tone of the track creating a lovely landing tune."Mind Factor [Echotek and BASIC]" is alot faster than the other tracks on the album and alot more aggressive , not what i would call a closing tune but a banging one non the less and i love the sample that they used in it.
All in all not a bad disc , will you still be playing it 5 years from now ? Possibly the tracks on this disc are not overly in your face so they get a chance to grow on you and that increases the shelf life , plus its an intellignet album which helps alot as well. For DJ's there are a couple fo tracks on here as well gauranteed to shake a crowd, id give this one a GO!!
