Hi!
I heard that Echo soundcard would be a good option; cheap (about 200€?) and of very good quality (same results as with 3000€ cards).
Could someone inform me a bit more about Echo cards? And also tell where to buy one?
I have a laptop and the idea is to produce psy-/progressive-/goa- trance. Maybe some chillout. too.
Thanks a lot! |

I use an Echo Audiofire 4. The convertors are good and I find it nice and portable to use for laptop DJing but want to get something else for production. I like having a physical knob to control monitor levels and not have to go into the software interface to drag the slider. I used to have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 which was about the same price and I preferred that in terms of physical control and I think it sounded great too.

well the audiofire series is top notch in sound quality. very big dynamic range etc.
if you need a volume control you could still run your signal through smth like this..
