after i consuled with sone people i decided that i
should buy the echo or creamware sound card, but now i should shose one of them.
my budhet is 3000-3500 nis.
*my reasones to buy creaware sound card are:
1.they have sharc dsp.
2.for example in the electra you can create a lot
of synths.
*what do you think, which of them i should buy?

If you know how to build modular patches from the modules - get Elektra. If you dont - but want dsp's, perhaps get Creamwares new Luna II, exactly the same hardware as Elektra but no Modular II software. (Visit www.creamware.com and really suss out the gear. If you have the cash - get a PulsarII or an XTC (6xDSP but no i/o) and a Luna II (2ins/outs analog 2ins/outs digi). All these cards connect up nicely, are easily expandable and Pulsar will soon run it's synths & FX inside VST sequencers (like VSTi's and DX FX) without tasking the host cpu (Pulsar XTC s/w).
The XTC board will give you DSP and will work with any other sound card for i/o.
Note that Luna II can run Pulsar devices like synths (as long as they work on 3 dsps).
One last point - if you want  the best performance - you will need a motherboard such as the asus cusl2 (for PIII machines) or for AMD, newer boards with AMD760 chipsets (needing DDR memory), or perhaps the VIA kt133a (not tested and approved yet). This is because of poor PCI performance with older VIA chipsets on boards for AMD cpu's.
