Hey friends!

I got a "problem" and I wonder if there is an easy way to solve this. Assume you got a track X minutes long with automations and all. You listen to it for a few times and realize that you wish to add a part into the middle of the track (e.g. prolong a certain part or add a completely new part).

Is there any way to solve this easily with just a few clicks instead of dragging the whole project (midi+audio parts) and then move all automations? There must be, right? I just haven't found it yet, obviously.

Thanks in advance.

ps. I haven't had my cup of coffee yet so if you didn't understand what I'm looking for, just tell me and I'll try to explain what I mean again.

Hi,

if the "automations follows parts" is enabled the automations made to parts will follow.. at least.. but all automations not bound to parts have to be moved manually.... so what to do?

Set left and right locators to desired position, then use the Edit menu>Range>"Insert Silence"

and if you think a part of the song sucks:
Edit menu>Range>"Delete Time"

I had the same question, it's good to be a registred cubase user, so I could ask in the cubase forum           Most of my music for you to download at:

in the arrangement window you have various tools as the pointer, the pencil, the glue... right next to the pointer there's the range selector. select everything you want with it (it selects everything, from parts to automations) and then move it, it will move everything to where you want.

gotta try that insert silence trick anyway           Pyrex :: Traveling without moving
