hmmh, there's so much info varying from bbc news streams's warnings of a new upcoming explosion, possible meltdowns of reactors to official reports talking about small leakages of radiation. guess the only option is just to sit down, watch and wait that they get their shit together cause i can't say if one is exaggerating or the other covering up. on thing's for sure though i really hope there'll be no damaging afterquakes around fukushima           "no one ever sweats on a plug-in" -moby

Not for Journalists and those who dare to expose Putin's regime

oupssss - off-topic

Back on topic.

It seem that the media have a very busy time filling people's heads with one doomsday newsflash after each other.

Facts are that yet nothing has happened. No leaks (if any MAYBE a very very small one as horrible as it is though).

BUT there are no melt-downs or further leaks. Of course there are concerns as there should be BUT there are no facts supporting any leaks or melt-downs today, tomorrow or in the near future based on this situation.

Of course things can happen (as in any country with nuclear power plants). This is not unique to Japan.

My only thought is that the Japanese are extremely stupid people building Nuclear Plants in such an unstable region. But hey that's my personal toughs as I was never a supporter of Nuclear Power. On this behalf I agree with Moki that there are many more safe ways to produce energy. But that's another topic.          www.beatagency.dk

on this place i would like to say that imo japanese are on the contrary extremely intelligent people and in my opinion the most advanced scientists on earth. the scale of this disaster would be much bigger anywhere else on the planet. also i believe that they are going to rebuild japan faster than we even imagine. well, i hope.
they are experienced in that.

even if there will be a leak in the next days, it will be kept in the smallest possible extent and intensity. and japanese people will take it more calm than any of us would do .

further, an intensive wave of new green politics all around europe and hopefully the states(!!!!!) expects us now in the future. the alternative are riots.

further i just wrote a long text about something that is called ecological intelligence but i delete it. firstly because it is only one tousend of what i wanted to say, so better not start at all. secondly, there is better ways to speak and to find the right people to speak to. i am actually really really not somebody who gives up fast. but isratrance and generally this trancy bullshit is something to give up. the pic of basilisk on the previous pages is something i liked.

The question should be....

What can we do as a community to help? Rather than being the media frenzied disembodied ghouls that we seem to be, lets show off our go(o)d side for a change.

You just totally lost me now. Do you even know what your own opinion is?

First you yell leaks, leaks, leaks, worldwide disaster, doomsday, dead to all mankind, lets find alternative solutions now and not tomorrow etc. and all of a sudden you see no problem in the Japanese building Nuclear Power plants in an totally unstable region? You lost me!

They might be the most intelligent people around (if that can be measured) but facts are it's extremely risky to build Nuclear Power plants in a region with yearly big earthquakes.

The 2nd plant now have problems too and evacuation is going on.

Now I am not that afraid that anything will happen (after all this is not some worn down plant in Ukraine) but it should be a warning to all those who believe that Nuclear Power Plants are the "safe" way into the future.

By the way the Japanese are far from taking anything calm. All of Tokyo has fled the City!

Oh yes we at isratrance is not worthy of your higher intelligence

I guess memory is a tricky thing... Only comes to work when one can be a self righteous asshole:
