Mh, the one fact, that TimeTraveller used on page 2 or so could acutally be true and is no hippie shit. If you imagine, that through the anthropogen glass house effect the tempreature rises, the pole ice melts, the sea level rises, certainly there will be more pressure on the oceanic tectonic plate, which will have more pressure then in subduction zones, so the severeness of fault tensions should rise, which theoretically could lead to more severe earth quakes and higher tsunamis. Allways value arguments fully, please.

They equated the power of this Tsunami to 16000 Hiroshima atomic bombs. Goes to show how insignificant we are at the hands of nature. And if we can control it like some people here seem to believe then it's really sad that we still use technology for such random destruction.
Hope that Japan can recover from this disaster quickly, and pray for the families and lives lost.
