Earth freq is a weekend-long music, lifestyle and environment festival, running since 2006 in the south-east queensland / northern new south wales region.
The concept of Earthfreq is not just a party, but a gathering of the tribes and a weekend of intention.
The focus is on creating a meaningful space to gather, where we can raise awareness and share useful information on environmental issues and sustainable lifestyle choices, consolidate community bonds with creative and fun activities, and provide a positive transformative party experience in the beautiful australian outdoors.
Earth Freq is committed to finding ways to minimise our environmental impact as a festival, and to create positive outcomes from our event. this includes:
* $1 per head is donated to the wilderness society for their amazing work.
* Through greentix, one tree will be planted from each pre-sold ticket sold .
* We encourage car-pooling. A forum will be set up to assist people wishing to car-pool
* Food stalls are encouraged to use recycled materials and avoid plastics.
Venue
Earth Freq 2009 will be located in the beautiful outdoor venue of LandCruiser Mountain Park, 2hrs north-west of Brisbane. - http://www.landcruisermountainpark.com.au
Facilities:
* The venue is fully equipped with toilets and showers!
* Camping is included in the event ticket price.
* The event will have First-Aid and Security onsite to ensure a safe weekend for everyone.
Guidelines:
At the venue owner\\\\\\\'s request, no glass is to be brought on to the property. Random car searches may occur, don\\\\\\\'t say you weren\\\\\\\'t warned if your carton of glass is confiscated when entering the venue.
There will be a site map given to you upon arrival with designated camping areas, and signage to remind you of this. Please respect the layout of the event and camp in these designated areas.
Please also help us to maintain a beautiful event by using the bins provided, leaving a clean camping space and taking excess rubbish with you at the end of the weekend.
Getting There:
LandCruiser Mountain Park is a 2 hr drive from Brisbane, 1.5hr drive from the sunshine coast, 3.5hrs from Byron. If you plan your drive well, this can be a comfortable and safe journey through some beautiful countryside.
* Make sure you have slept enough before doing the drive.
* Car-Pooling is not only good for the environment, but helps make the drive more fun, and it can be safer to have company in the car in long drives.
* Pack some good driving music to get you in to the spirit for the weekend!
* And of course do not drive under the influence of alcohol or any other substances. This is unsafe and irresponsible and we anticipate RBT\\\\\\\'s will be set up on the way to/from the festival.
Directions:
From the Bruce Highway, turn on to the D\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'aguilar highway and head to Kilcoy.
As you reach the centre of Kilcoy, turn right at the round-about on to Kilcoy-Murgon rd.
Follow this road straight for 39km, at which point it becomes a dirt road.
Follow the dirt road for 15km. Look out on your left for a large sign for LandCruiser Mountain Park. Turn Left at this sign and follow the signs in towards the festival.
