I'll be sure to buy a couple of good earplugs for my next party. I would rather loose my sight then my hearing |

I think its also important to say here that listening to your headphones walking down the street or on the bus etc can be as equally as damaging... I taught myself that whenever I reach to turn the volume up I ask myself if I really need to, and if I don't i turn it down a bit. It works really fast and you very quickly become adjusted to listening to the music at a healthy level and still getting the full effect of the tune. Or start turning it down and cranking it for the drops or whatever bits of the tune you really dig..
As I type this all I can hear is "eeeeeEeEeeeeeeeeeeEeEeEeEeeeeeee" in my left ear .. thats never going away. |

My friend was last friday at party,he digged and jumped near the speakers 5,6hours....maybe more. Now he dont hear with left ear for week, doctor says that its something "inside ear damage" and most of accidents its came normally after few days but sometimes remains for all life
And sometimes at the party, productions hosting shitty speakers, turbusound shit...i remember last year i was little high and drunk at some party with 4 sets of turbo sound i was from 05:00 to 12:00 near this fucking speaker...after that party,i dont hear NOTHING 5,6 hours...and after 2 days of noises and pain insede my ears and head its stopped...now am think am lucky and newer stand near this shitty speakers...
So i think in future ill use earplugs, heh

Reason for the constant headphones playing live?
I've been cutting down on volume dramatically lately.. |

You're killing yourslef with trance!
It really is the ultimate design for damage to the senses, listening to loud music with UV rays all around staring into strobe lights, breathing in smoke/fog..

its mainly high-frequency noises which cause the majority of hearing loss, like a hammer pounding metal all day, or a jackhammer. There are special earplugs which are designed to cut the high end while leaving the mids and lows pretty much alone. They're pretty expensive, but custom fitted to your ear.

Just a comment and sort of question to those with piiiiiiiiiip ect sounds coming and going. I got the total opposite .. For me sometimes, a few/couple/once of times a week. I get a hearing for a couple of seconds where everything (sounds) get all "muff" like. Like I have earplugs in my ears, but with a cooler effects of deep sound. very strange, and it gives me chills every time. It feels for those seconds like a trip of some sort. Very strange. It started only a month ago. I can't really explain how it sounds, but almost like I would put fingers inside my ear, but I hear everything in a deeper tone then normally. My vision goes a bit dark to, not much, but it's notable.
lol, maybe I got a brain tumour or something .. (ha-ha, not funny?)
Think this can be a sign of failing hearing? Maybe a warning? Like this thread is a cosmic warning in it self?
– If someone got the same symptoms, please try to explain so maybe I can identify my “thing” with yours. So far all I see is people complaining about "eeeeeEeEeeeeeeeeeeEeEeEeEeeeeeee" which is totally opposite of my syndrome.
PS. My hearing is super fine as far as I know, and I don't attend that many parties. Loud music for me is most often with my headphones/plugs. And as mentioned before (hr hrr) after discovering psy-trance and psy-substances. My hearing for details, being able to listen to smaller/weaker sounds behind loud/strong sounds has increased a lot! Believe it or not IE. Forest Dreams ^^ - it's a fact, and I don't think it seems that odd at all. Why wouldn't that part of ones hearing be improved by psy?
