Hi!
I've had the bm6a for about a year now and I love them.
Now the "problem" is that I built a pair of stands for them so now it's pretty hard to turn them on/off without being an acrobat. =)

Would it hurt the speakers to always have the switch on the back turned on and use another swith to turn the power on/off for both speakers?

I hope you understand my question..
thanks in advance!

I have one switch for all my studio appliances.
I don't think it hurts the monitors - have been like that for the last 5 years.

Make sure the monitor volume on the mixer is at minimum.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Ok! Thanks Trip!
Tried that now and it works fine.

Another thing I noticed about the montiors. If I turn them off and then turn them on again in like 10-20 sec the woofer "jumps"(Don't really know how to explain it, it goes out and in and makes a "poof" sound)
Anyone know why it does that?

Strange i have the same monitors but they don't do this..Only when i turn them on the light stays red for a couple of secs and then there's a click when the amp kicks in & it turns green..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

Yeah that's what they usually do.
Try to switch the monitor off and then on directly, that's when it happends for me.

Ahhh right, will give it a shot but i guess that's normal because the amp receives power too quickly..I think its probably a built-in safety mechanism that makes the amp wait a few secs before switching on when you power up the monitor..           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

I got this answer from dynaudio:

"Answer from our service techs :
It is normal, because some capacitors are still loaded and if you power on quickly, they will send that power away.
So yes wait a few seconds before powering on again."

Then I asked if it could hurt the montiors and got this answer :

"I don\t think the drivers risk anything."

hehe, pretty funny that they write "think". Anyways, doesn't seem to hurt the monitors.
Thanks all for the help!
