i was faced with the same decision when i was buying my dynaudio's.
i was lucky to get the bm6a and the bm6a mk2 for testing at the same time.
after 2 days of mixing and listening i chose bm6a mk2.
the difference between then is the amps.
bm6a have mosfet amps (analog) and the mk2 have digital amps ( amp on chip).
the bm6a sound a tiny bit warmer then the mk2, but the mk2 sound as if they have more resolution and detail.
the difference in overall sound is very small, but in favor of the mk2.
to me the mk2 sounded better and more detailed,
also the mk2 are cheaper.
good luck with your decision.

BM6A if it aint broke dont fix hehe also most important i like the mosfet amps, sorry just cus its newer dont mean its better keep it "G"
its like saying whats better sounding the new moogs or the old ( i think the old sound richer n more phat than the new) but the new moog u can save presets...hehe its your choice in the end good luck

I know at one point Hujaboy was using them and swore by them. I've had them for a couple years and don't plan on upgrading any time soon. Shapestatic's "Metaphim" was written on them and sounds great. |

about the sub.. the manual defintly mention that complete system is with it.
but i think that its true probably in medium room fully acoustic include massive bass traps etc.
for bedroom production they have planty of sub and pritty acurate compare to whats coming out in clubs systems.. i dont have sub yet and still happy with them..
glitch: i moved from tannoy reveal , was really happy with them until i heard my mixes on the dynaudio.. was very clear from first moment that mid area was not exacly how it really is , the tannoy forgive you for little mistakes , and we dont want that. |
