ask the man in the store to demonstrate u the non amplified with sveral speakers u think u might buy and also to listen to amplified ones and then decide..by your ear and hearing ...what fits u the best ..there is no better way if u dont know your way in ound enough to decide i suggest u wait with it a while and improve your skills and try to learn more about sound

Well basically you need to find the monitors where pro tracks sound good and your tracks sound like crap... This means you found the one for you
