just got the mackies 2 days ego! my god im so satisfade with this monitors! if you have a big room i think the 6 inch woffer of the dayns wont make enaghte bass. so you should look for the 8 inch.

well i think you should chack tham both, and also the new genelec 8000 siries, they are about the same price, and buy what you like most.           www.myspace.com/vibetribestudio

Generally if your room is not so big i'm suggesting the BM6, anyway Check ADAM as well,

ADAM is known as the best nearfield monitor nowadays, I read about this monitor alot thu i never heared it... and btw I mean the S2A, not the model in music shop.
ADAM monitors are much more expensive than all other names written in this thread.

Generally i really recommand Dynaudio solutions, I just got the BM6 and i'm very pleased, everything sounds very clear and smooth and the mixing job is much better on them then on all other monitors i tried.
I guess it wil take me a while to learn them like every monitor, but still Dyna just gives you the whole picture.

I would recommend Mackie ones, since they are bigger means can indicate more about sound, get it closer to large PAs where music going to be played and have a great quality of great brand.

H2O:
"since they are bigger means can indicate more about sound"
I disagree with you here mate, the size in monitors doesn't make the monitor better.
of course a bigger monitor can play lower frequencies than smaller one,
but over-bass can apper easily with 8" monitors in small rooms.
