Good evening fellow IsraTrancers, what A wonderful breeze we have outside...
So, Before we all get in a blue mood because of Yuli ;-) i really really need to know how does Infected Mushroom do their Signature Verse (if u can call it that) Like the one found in the original Psycho- Started in min. 4:20 of the song. Is it an arpeggio of some kind? And if you know which machine echnique was used to make it. I'm Dying here... :))
P.S a similar part can be found in an 800k demo from infected in: http://www.infected.co.il/Music/Mp3/Ybt_Protones.mp3
I know This is the place for an answer! (at least second after E-mailing Mr. erez) |

You know what I'm talking about? :)
mmmm...
it sounds like something you do with a TB (Slide and stuff, like in rebirth) But I guess it was done using the Nord, their main synth.

Lets say that knowing what I want to put in the track is not the big problem here, its the HOW thats bothers me big time. I know that theres a lot of methods in laying out computer based music (not necessarily trance or 4/4 music) and not all of them are fit for trance and so cant give you the right inspiration you need in order to create trance without a lot of previous experience in the field. (lost my self in the middle) That was said after listening to tracks with very very complex and fast leads and thinking thet it was not possible to preform those parts just by inserting the notes or sounds one by one. (Am I right?) I'm more interested in the methods of work (sequencing of you like) then in the sound itself...
So, :) can you recommend a synth that works in those trance enabled psychy methods? |

You can make everything (almost) on everything (almost). The trick is to know how. Start by making a 4/4 kick. I guess you know how to do that? Then make some hi hats, add a bassline... Put a lead (note by note if you want).
Not too hard... |

A-T-E-M M-E-F-A-H-A-D-I-M!!! :) :)
10x man, i know what you mean... I was just thinking more in the direction of the lead in the middle of Psycho, or the one through the end of Symphonatic... How the hell am i gonna put those one note by note?! :)
Maybe i will be better off staying in Atmos like style! ;=) |

I think that those leads aren't just note by note melodies... They have plenty of effects on them.
Look, there isn't a step by step or magic solution to making music. You need to experiment yourself, and find what method works best for you. |

One of the methods that works in figuring out a pattern is to slowe it down till you can totaly understand the sequence, so make a wawe file loop of the pattern, through it into sounforge and time stretch it. then as you listen it doesnt sound too complicated anymore, what makes it sound really goood is bunch of delays and pitch shiftind on certain notes, bu the way dude Atmos got some mad programing skilz, just cause it sounds minimal doesnt mean its primiticve PLUR |
