AS far as i understand, dxi pluggins consume 30% more cpu power then vst pluggins...therefore do sequencers wich support dxi such as sonar, neads more from
your computer then cubase for example?
question2: how can i check it whyle i have
a vst pluggin running and a dxi pluggin running both at the same time wich one consumes more cpu...

If you use Cubase i assume you should open both and then close/mute each one while looking on VST meter. You can download application which can check memory and cpu usage at real time. You can press ALT+CTRL+DEL(in WINXP) and take a look on MEM or CPU usage in PROCESSES tab while loading any of plugs. |

i think you should only use dxi plug ins if you have a sound card with a DSP processor. this way it consumes nearly 0% of cpu and loads directly from the sound card.

What's sound card with DSP has to do with DXi ?
I don't think that you'll find 30% more cpu on DXi, unless it's programmed bad.
