This is no promo...

Maybe most people have more than enough virtual synths...
But if someone wants/need to get a synth or wants to start with a "big allrounder" this one maybe would be worth a look...
A "user friendly" good/great sounding engine !!! Or what do you think ???

If i would start today and need/want to buy a virtual synth, it would not be easy to make a decision between the synths of today...

But in the big, big (BIG!!!) crowded market this one is maybe anytime one of the audible ones next to Massive, Sylenth, Albino etc... Or maybe not ?

Anyways... Leastwise have 30 days fun with the demo and create some samples...

depending from the perspective dune was a bit of an underrated synth. yet it is powerful.
maybe dune 2 will stand to dune as zeta 2 is to zeta.

i like that 303 emu.

piet kaempfer from Protonica did some presets for dune.

look intresting ! but i hate these demo..i wonder if they want us to judge the fx insteed of the sound of the synth.
built in fx are bypassed 90% of the time here in any synths , i wonder why they loose time coding them.. maybe just for these demo to get more sale

Dune is one of the vsts that i use a lot.
Dune 2 looks interesting and cool features, i like also the new design a lot. I'm not planning to buy something new now but if i see some good discount i will buy it for sure.

Maybe to see a release from computer music in the futere like the first one. Dont care if this release will dont have all those fx.          ...into the wild....

but is not very common to see psy producers doing factory presets for synths.
I do like some of their tunes.

presets are on the money. there's been thousands of them (trance patches) on many many instruments.

a little of topic here but protonica are great producers! Quality prog psy for sure!
I like also that they dont produce every day a single track! They releases are so minimum and carefully made.

back on topic.
I will download the demo today and try it. has been a long time to try something new these days.
I like the GUI a lot! simple and straight to the point!

If anyone interest lets make a small bank together with this one! you know you can count me in

But it will take time until i buy it...

Summarizing:
The synth takes a bit of CPU, of course... Eight voices with 3 OSC each... And of course two FX UNITS with a Reverb in each...
But maybe that doesn't matter at the end... Look at massive... And as in massive there's the "Sound-Quality-Function"...
In the final analysis its a new "big allrounder" on the market with the Dune 1 known sound quality... Also a "detuneable monster"...

The only thing i would miss in the moment is a copy/paste function in the arp section as in sylenth for example...
Maybe also the view of the modulationpage could have a button to devide the view optional into 2 pages...
(Maybe Synapse will update that synth if they got some user-reflections)

GUI very nice and userfriendly (as Sunrise Travellers said : straight to the point)...

At the end its still not easy to make a decision between the synths of today...
Maybe sometimes its also a question of money... GUI is also importat to "feel home"...

So... Dune 2 could be worth a choice with a special discount as Sunrise Travellers also said... So... Don't rush it...

And ... Protonica know what they are doing with minimal resources... If someone likes the sound or not...
