I mean u would have to split the bands with eq, dont think they do Multiband sidechainers yet... do they?

anyways try this i used this before i got my hands on DB SC

just use a *low-passed* signal to trigger the sidechain.
no specific plug-in required - just some imagination.           http://www.myspace.com/realtimeproject

hi daark,

sms is true...
c1 comp-SC has a an eq and i think is one of the best native plug in processor that do this kind of work (ducking).

Do you know how to use this compressor for the sidechain?

it's easy but not immediately...
let me know if you need instructions

what you call "ducks on low freq" ... i'd rather call "is triggered by low freq".

the result is that it will duck only for the low frequencies - as adjusted in the LP filter.

it's something like: signal ~> lp ~> bus -> compressor with sidechain input.

maybe waves C1 has the input eq/filter for convenience reasons ...
but i think it doesn't matter if one or with two plug-ins were (ab)used - while it works           http://www.myspace.com/realtimeproject
