Don't let him drag you down dude! He's not worth the energy; he's blatantly only out to wind people up. nortynorty aka Steve Ishwara has been banned from Isratrance about 4 times so far, as well as Psymusic and Psynews multiple times; best thing to do is ignore him until he gets himself banned again.

Dunno, most of dubstep sounds like a-really-scratched-CD to me           "...And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made;
And he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
And God said, Behold,it is all messed-up.
WTF?!"

Coming from Drum and Bass, I can appreciate some of the aspects of this music. Can't say that I would enjoy a show with only this type of music, but there's some that I enjoy very much. Not a big fan of the crowd but I do enjoy getting my head rattled by walls of bass.... I've even made a track in this style myself.

for me, Nagual Sound Experiment is probably the best dubstep i've heard. very musical and has some psychedelic influences

Nice one dude, i didnt't know him before...Superkiller stuff... Really new/original and freshy-style: fully dubstep but highly inspired from shpongle (and by the most psy-side, heavy/smoothy/twisted beats)
Nice bridge beetween psy and dub-step, his style is unique.

It's listed as Xabuumuphu - Spit it out
Xabuumuphu is sort of my alter ego for all things non trance... if you look on the playlist it's located in between Organism Funk and Significant Other. Or 3rd from the bottom in listing of the tracks.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

well I hope they don't ban nortynorty. It's like a bad sunflower seed in a pack of sunflower seeds. Rotten, bitter and salty but a guilty pleasure change from the usual seeds.

Anyways, my initial topic wasn't as much on whether psytrancers like dubstep but rather wondering whether dubstep will surpass psytrance in popularity in the new generation underground culture...

It probly depends where you live, in alot of places its already much bigger. I live in a place in the US with zero psytrance going on but there are 2, three hour radio shows of dupstep a week on the college station that covers the whole city..a couple weekly "club nights".
Whoever mentioned that its slow enough that hip hop guys can relate to it made a very good point.
Also, keep in mind i think even more so than psytrance, you haven't really heard the music until you have heard it extremely loud.
That Distance track that is posted in here is a good bridge between psy along with that whole album.
