If you are looking for good dub tunes, you'll find it back in the 60's & 70's, The roots still rules and always will.

word!
nouveau knows what he`s talking about
...personally I can`t stand most of the electronic modern dub. Sounds like plastic when compared to artists like:
Lee Perry (the 3cd Arkology is a must)
Linton Kwesi Johnson
Yabby You
The Congos
Prince Far I

solar-plexus i advice you to listen Ott: Blumenkraft (twisted records) dub with indian , arabic and african influences. this guy is a genius producing and in the samothraki's festival in the chill out area he did a great job. gave us a live act with very good quality and a great moment..

Dub is quite a loosely banded about term these days.
For some classic old stuff - Blood & Fire are a great re-issue label
http://www.bloodandfire.co.uk
Pressure Sounds - an off shoot of Adrian Sherwoods On-U records - do some great re-issues.
For an intro to Adrian Sherwood and the electro dub type sound that he pioneered in the 80s - "15 years in an Open Boat" is pretty good
On more mainstream stuff - Virgin and Island does lot of old reggae stuff at midprice.
I woudl definately go along with Lauri's recommendations - if you've got any interest in reagge beyond The Best of Bob Marley get "Heart of the Congos" - an amazing album combing great tunes with comepletly off the wall studio techniques from Lee Scratch Perry
For more up to date UK stuff - check out Zion Trains label

Theres a psydub thread going on as well thats well worth checking out

dub, dub, hmmm dubby dubble dub.
twilight circus dub sound system from amsterdam is proper thick and super well mastered.
Pitch Black with out a doubt has some of the dankest....
theres some crazy dubbish sounds from
Green Ant (australia)
toires hints at dub often.
mad professor vs. massive attack - classic!
i like rhythm&sound, geemel, bill laswell (some projects), scientist, dubmission records, lots of classic orb,
and if theres one thing about digging deep for any one genre of music, or one style, you must be willing to dig thru countless tracks on compilations to find what you want.
there are millions of single tracks that are sweet that are buried...keep looking, and drop some fat delay on it.
