,, I've actually started incorporating dubstep into my psytrance tracks .. intro's and outros's / breakdowns ..
Personally i love the textures in the really psychedelic styles of dubstep .. for me it allows a little bit of fun with sinewaves and the cool textures you can coat them with.
maybe it's just the liquid bass that the beat junkies like myself find attractive heh heh ~

ok, i'm srsly blushing now, thanks everyone!
and just to clarify, as I see now there could have been some misunderstanding because when you embed a soundcloud player it doesn't include the artist/title, that "Breakfast" track isn't me - it's Liquid Stranger remixing goto80. I was just referencing it because it's the best example of crazy, funny dubstep (and one of my all time favorite tracks). And BTW, Liquid Stranger is all around freakin amazing - his stuff ranges from mellow psy-chill to full blasting whomp madness.
and yeah, everyone should d/l nod's mixes, they are amazing

I think I would rather have dubstep wobblers than house style guidos at the party. and what's wrong with too much "E"xcitement?

dubstep is especially fun when you're tipsyyy, it's wobblin... you're wobblin... suddenly everything is wob--- oh shi-----
alakazam... a guido will never be prominent at a psy party. we will kill it with fire (or ask reaaaally nicely for the burner peoples to do eet ^_^)

I think I would rather that people stop trying to attach a certain type of person to genres. The "my kind of people" attitude is amazingly unhealthy for a scene as a whole. Theres no better way to make sure the new people don't come back than to make them feel like they have to be a certain way to fit in. Music can(and as far as I am concerned, should be) just be enjoyed for what it is, without being a movement or some elitist clique. The only requirement to be part of music is the enjoyment of music. The music is already far enough out in left field, theres no need to exclude people. If you simply limit the production aspect to include only people who are ALL about the music, they will naturally attract "the right kind" of people. Saying certain types of music attracts a bad crowd is very shortsighted. There are DJ's of all genres who make it into a psychedelic journey, you simply need to maintain an open mind to find them.

More people attending?
I mean really there is NO CONNECTION between Psytrance and Dubstep. In the same logic why not mix Psytrance and Happy Hardcore or House or Trip Hop or Breakbeats or Jungle or Drum n Base?
I am not trying to shit on the parade but it seems that USA is the only place that in the last year has started mixing Dub Step and Psytrance.
Really, usa is the only place that mixes dubstep and psy?
I was at Doof Fest 2009 and they definitely had dubstep on the chillout stage. Maybe the kineret is part of usa and I was unaware.
I don't think it's really mainstage music but it works fine on the alt-stage.

2step > dubstep.
The only parts of dubstep I like are the parts that aren't wobbling, so I just plug my ears and yell blah blah blah really loud til it's over.
