I can only dig it in small doses sprinkled throughout a set. Not 2 solid hours of farting bass. |

I miss there was more variety overall. I have petty much had it with listening to 12 tracks that sound the same mixed so as to appear to be a hardware live PA. I wan to hear more genre bending and be surprised more than once an hour. Dubstep is great for slowing it down for a minute or two, but to limit ones self to one sound for an entire set is like picking two fingers to masturbate with(dubstep being the thumb.)
In short, dubstep gives you AIDS if you whore it out, but its pretty badass if you mix it up or play 3 card monte with it's little sister.

DUBSTEP IS THE NEW MOVEMENT LET IT RIDE GUYS WITHOUT HATING, HONESTLY I USED TO HATE IT TILL I SAW AN AWESOME DIPLO And MAJOR LAZER SET AT AN OUTDOOR FESTIVAL FEW WEEKS AGO, WHICH WAS MIXED WITH BAILE FUNK FROM BRAZIL, AND LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR AS WAS PSYTRANCE WHEN I FIRST HEARD IT, AND UNDERSTOOD WHAT IT WAS. HONESTLY THEY GO TOGETHER VERY WELL, IF PSYTRANCE AND CHILLOUT GO WELL, THEN DUBSTEP DEFENITLY MAKES YOU MOVE , ITS ALL ABOUT SEEING IT LIVE, EVERYTIME I GET ON THIS BOARD THERES HATE ON OTHER MUSIC, EVERYOTHER SITE THERES SOME DRAMA, BUT PEOPLE ARE A BIT MORE OPENMINDED ON EDM FORUMS,RATHER THEN STICKING TO ONE GENRE. WHICH IS WHY CAMP BISCO FESTIVAL WILL ALWAYS RULE EAST COAST WITH THEIR LINEUPS. |

Look out for psychedelic dubstep compilation which will be released really soon by Chillumafia
Also, this year's chill stage @ Boom was a perfect example of connection between psy and step
PS. Kryptic Minds anyone?

Had a pleasure to listen to Leon last friday here in the city, where I live now: it was dark, heavy, narcotic, tribal and trancey as fook.
Also check out Berlin based duo Chillin Berlin (Mindwaves Music). Their set@Boom was one of the best I've heard there. Same with old punk Mauxuam
