u forgot Burning Spear - Marcus Garvey ...

There were two albums - the classic "Marcus Garvey" and the dub version was called "The Ghost of Marcus Garvey" - though fortunately you can now get them on the same CD quite cheaply

Dubnophobia, they haven't released any tracks yet, but well worth catching live. They regularly play at Tribe of Frog and have been supporting Easy All Stars on their 'Radiodread' tour.

They do have a couple of tunes available on their myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/dubnophobia           .:::::: TRiBE of FRoG - http://www.tribeoffrog.com ::.

Tried downloading but the linked page says that the file didn't adhere to terms of service.

definitely a nice one...been diggin it in the car lately

some of y'all might also dig badawi, some more middle-eastern influenced dub (i believe from nyc). phase selector sound system is quite nice as well - both on roir records, great fuckin dub label.

don't think anybody has mentioned adrian sherwood in this thread either, which is a shocker (or perhaps i just can't read, which is not so much of a shocker) - he's been involved with creation rebel, on-u sound, dub syndicate, and is now releasing some great solo stuff.

i also haven't seen vibronics mentioned, strong contenders inna euro dub stylee

couple other good american dub bands:
john brown's body from nyc
sun toucher from atl
dubconscious from athens, ga
telepath from asheville (a little more on the ESL tip)           http://www.djnod.net

The "missing" link btween jamaican dub and modern dub is the On-U label which was most active in the 80s - also look out for Mad Professor stuff.
