hi guys
im still trying to build myself the ultimate machine (in my budget )
i was offerd an ATI RADEON 9200 graphic card.
looking on the featurs of the card, i seen it had DVI PORT.
can i connect my old 15" vga to the DVI port so i can use it as a second screen? will i need any cabels/trnsformers to connect it?

well babba i dont think so .. because .. how old is your monitor ?? ... i have one friend who lent me is monitor 17 inches ... with 7 years ... i tryed to connect it to gforce 4 .. and .. no image ... the video card is to strong ... so u will have the same problem .. DVI port is more for the actual monitors .. like flat screen or high resolution normal screens but try eheh somethimes miracles happen ahhaah
good luck ~~boomm |

i dont think darkpsy that you are right
i have connected a 17 flat and an old 17 crt and works great
this happens iff the screens refresh rate is not compatible with the cards one
some monitors cant have very high hz and this resolves in no visual
reduce it and usualy it works
