Is it possible to do that by using a single video card that has analog and dvi outputs using a dvi to analog converter?Tried that on a radeon and doesn't seem to work...
If not,can it be done using 2 different video cards or is a card with dual head monitor support required?
help people !
thnx in advance

sure it's possible - most cards today come with dvi and analog.

I use a little dvi to analog converter without probs.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

if that doesn't work you should be able to get away with 2 video cards. I currently have a GeForce AGP and an old TNT2 PCI that I use for my two monitors. I had the GeForce AGP and bought the TNT2 for $25 when I decided to add a second monitor.

In the case that you want to get a second older card, make sure it is compatible with windows - NOT ALL CARDS WILL WORK (as I found out).

Here's a list of compatible cards:

but for sure the best option is one grafic card with the 2 ports , dvi and analog , just like trip- said
i think is the best option , less IRQ used , more power for less pci card
