what is there for a psyfreak to do in Houston texas. im nu here. used to live in india not far from goa. anywhere i can find "condiments" in houston. i heard there is a rave soon in dallas but that is too far for me. |

well,
Austin is only about 1 anna half to 2 hours away, we'd love to have you come out here and enjoy some psycho stomp action with us.
check out shivatrance.com and psytopia.com, also keep up with this forum there are a lot of great events in the area. none in houston itself though. good luck on your hunt dude.

i am kinda nu here in houston. used to live about 10$ bus ride from goa. i see events in austin and dallas but nothing here in houston. how come? |

houston doesn't really have too much psy activity... if any at all... why? no interest in the city, perhaps? no one to push the sound? it's never caught on there, i guess. remember, psy is still an extremely underground sound here, even for the more "mainstream" rave crowd...
maybe if someone took the time to grow the scene there...

It's not quite in Houston, but if you get a chance come out to Dark Forest on June 11th. It's a bit of a drive but will be well worth it. Basically everyone in the Texas psy scene will be there, so if you're looking to meet people from Houston it would be the place. We've got Mubali, Ghreg on Earth, and Fractal Cowboys coming in, as well as local talent James Meadows and Dylan from DFW.

That would be Dark Forest. Luckily for you, it's not actually in Dallas - it's out in the woods near Waco, about halfway between DFW and Austin. Come check it out - it'll be well worth the drive. |
