I´ve tried making drums with noise from a freeware vstsynth called synth1.
Though i have some problems to make a snare so i wonder if anyone could tell me how to make one using a synth. |

I use 2 noise ocs's one white and one pink. then I just play with the envelopes and sometimes add a filter to one of them.
Honestly though if I'm using noise to make a snare it's because I want to make the snare sound like noise. However, if you get the reverb just right on these bad boys, they can sound great |

I forgot to add I also use a low sine wav with a dropping pitch envelope to add the low end to the snare, but with trance snares I usually end up removing most of that anyway as they more often than not fall on kicks. |
