Hello all!
In an effort to prepare some of my Roland Handsonic instruments for my EMU, I've sampled all of the drums, etc found in the Handsonic. And placed them online at: http://BeatsAndBeyond.org/ (44Khz/mono/thru Echo Darla soundcard on PC).
anyway- its a really fun instrument- its pads can be very expressive. I recommend checking one out sometime- but I warn you that you may not be able to put it down! : )
I'll be adding more from various synths that I own for list members benefit soon... hopefully interesting factory samples from the Nord Modular, Virus, and my Microwave II XT (when I get it repaired!).
add your own normalization and FX...
enjoy! -J |

On the Darla, what's the point of having 2 inputs and 8 outputs? Am I wrong or just someone at Echo ate a shroom? |

The Darla and Gina aren't geared towards simultaneous multi-track recording thats the Layla's job- but more for playing out mutiple tracks at once. I only use 2 ins/2 outs. If I were to play samples to the other outs to a mixing board- then each of the sounds could be individually EQ'd for maximum potential. I use the computer to sequence the music on MIDI and to record so far.
Anyway- it was a fair price for good sound quality.

The newer Darla's have an ADAT interface as well |
