Ok i search everywhere and i found many usefull stuff but nothing about Breaks used in most full on track.
Hi hat and snare arrangement. Anyone has any tutorials on that, cuz i'm freaking lost on that side...
I want to know what kinda of drumkit i should use and how to arrange my stuff to make it sound somewhere near the current beats. There must be some principle and laws of the rythmics somewhere!
Thanks

a good idea is to use EQed loops (layer them and use a distinct freq band of each loop), distortion on the loops works good and be sure to slice them into parts and position them precisely to get tight timing. |

I'm not sure if i understand what you mean, do you mean breakbeats or the beats used during breaks ?
I think most breakbeats that are used in full-on tracks come from sample-cd's, and are sometimes modified using the Rexplayer in Reason, Intakt, Phatmatic, Stylus RMX or some other loopmangler. The loops themselves can be sampled from drum breakdowns and fills from funk or disco records which may or may not be chopped up and rearranged using Recycle or some similar program. Some other breaks are programmed.
If you want to make your own, it may be a good idea to program several drum-fills with or without shuffle- and groove-quantize turned on and chop those up and rearrange them.
I'm no expert either, but i think 14-year-old e-tard, who posts on this forum is more involved in drum 'n bass so maybe he can help you out ?

you can listen and write them down fairly easily
theres something called a 4/4 too, full on uses that idea a lot i have noticed
as far as breakbeats go... its a break, thay have groove, you just feel it, nothing is standard there

proven to be the most used in electronic music and there for will sound exacly as u wish
lemme tell ya all a nice story
u all know whats the sound for lazer gun tho there is no thing like this yet right ?
since in movies its always the same "pchiooo"
but at the begining there was star wars .. and their soundman is directly the one responsable to lazer gun sound simply since he made it first . and all others copied this till today..
so same with your drum kit unless u look for weird special unique sounds

4/4 is the time signature... 4 beats in a bar...
Anyway... will simply describe your standard arrangement of percussion
. = 1/16th of a bar
K = kick
S = Snare
O = Open hihat
H = closed hihat 1
h = closed hihat 2
One bar sequence:
K...K...K...K...
....S.......S...
..O...O...O...O.
H...H...H...H...
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Any number of variations can be done on this...
Remember though, this is the bare basics... SO much more is involved in creating a wicked percussive groove...
This is something to begin to work from though...

Depends on what effect you want to achieve, you can choose vintage drum machine synthetic samples, you can choose to sample old motown/funk records...whatever really.
All you need is software (i.e. Recycle 2) to slice the drums up and play about with the Midi file and individual hits till you get the pattern you desire.
If you sample a really phat beat, high pass it to make it fit in your tune. Its hard to make a phat trance kick, a phat bass, a phat lead and a phat break, play on top of each other in a typical busy trance mix.
