This album is the project of DJ Dhya. This was released back in May but thanks to Kagdila for sending me a copy I'm finally able to listen and review it. The first track is the 'Intro' and as the nice lady says... sit yourself down comfortably and let the music begin...This is nice chillout spacey style with some funky percussion and alien type noises to drift off to. The next track is called 'Syncussion'. Starts slightly slow with a nice sample and alien groove but almost immediately it blows itself into a meaningful rumbler. A great start to the tune which chops and changes throughout keeping good rhythm thats funky and packed with good sounds that creek, squeak and bubble. Track3 is a collaboration with Paps and is called Origine X. Feels a bit minimal to me and you can tell the Paps influence. Its quite groovy and progresses with an eerie feeling and its a bit twisted too. It doesn't really take off but its easy to get lost inside. Track4 is called 'Life Form' which brings with it a deep psychedelic sound which contains some really evil samples and sounds. Its progressive and quite funky with some good drums and psychedelic waves twisting themselves in and out of the melodies. Track5 is called 'Black Jack' which features Joti Sidhu (Psychaos) and we start with some deep and dark machinery over a powerful bassline. There is definitely an industrial feel and I love those funky drums that reach over and make themselves known. Its a great production and fairly progressive. It gets inside your head and drills a metal bolt through your ears. Track6 is called 'Stomp' with Dino Psaras helping to produce some pounding tech-trance. It sounds a bit kind of old-skool but as it carries along its journey it gets better and better with (POLICE ON NO IM BEING RAIDED) on no its just the sirens in the tune... They work very very well and its one to give it some to with a few explosions to punch away at. Its goona heve to be my favorite on the album. Track7 is called 'Believe In Faith' which starts a bit ghoulish and begins to plod off until it pushes up into the next gear and although progressive there is a lot of mayhem and some really intense layers giving it a hypnotic effect. Its got a massive bassline and lots of unworldly noises. 'Channel 21' is track8 and features Serge Souque. This has a great intro and straight away heads off in a punchy snappy direction. The melodies soon start to arrive and take over with some very nice hats helping them on their way. It feels a little basic but its definitely got rhythm making it easy to get lost inside the sound. Track9 is a collaboration with DJ Pea from Yumade and this joint effort has resulted into a real groovy baby that plods through different attacks of stabs and grinds. There is some lovely drums and it really injected some happiness into me. Its Fantastic progressive trance.Track10 and the last one on the album is called 'Acid Jade' which is more chillout. Very nice though and its earnt a place in my chillout set. Hoorah! This album has lots of different styles and influence making it a little different and perhaps a bit special.
