Hello,
I had totally forgotten about the Dreamtime Submerged remixes until a recent post here. I decided to go looking to buy, but digital download prices range from $13 at Beatport to $21 elsewhere. For that kind of money I want a CD and artwork I can hold in my hand, and for the $21 it had better be hand delivered by the historical figure/endangered species/religious deity of my choice. Ideally, I'd prefer WAV/FLAC, would would settle for 320K. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can find this in lossless for a reasonable price? |

I don't think you'll find it anywhere else more reasonable than Beatport.

cough cough splutter.... ergh.
i'm sorry but that is so wrong. beatport is way overpriced, especially for WAVs. no offence, just my opinion.
Lock this little baby into your favourites: http://www.dancerecords.com/labels/Thoughtless+Music
Thier range isn't as big, but they can't be beat on price.
The remix album is US$5.99 for WAV. Can't beat it!
As soon as my home computer is fixed i'll be fleshing out my Thoughtless Music collection a bit.
Happy hunting! |

Thanks very much for the replies! The issue I have with Beatport is that they prices they charge are either as much or more than the prices of a physical CD release (including packaging and shipping of stock to distributors). I have a hard time paying $13USD for MP3 downloads or significantly more for FLAC/WAV, when I can usually pay _less_ and obtain a lossless copy on disc complete with artwork to hold in my grubby little hands while I enjoy the music. That's just my preference. I'm not saying they are wrong to charge what they can, or trying to dissuade anyone who feels those prices are reasonable.
Thanks for the reminder on Dancerecords, DJSchofield! I had forgotten about them. I bought Liquid Journeys for a similar price difference when it was finally not exclusive to beatport. Much appreciated, sir! |

Not a problem.
You've actually articulated why I'm not a great fan of Beatport much better than I did.
I actually do use Beatport when there's no alternative. |

I quite like these remixes, Something for everyone I recokon. I bought the mp3's , there's no way I'd pay beatport prices for the whole album in Wav. I wonder how many people actually pay that price, I'd possibly buy one or two tracks if I was really desperate but paying double the cd price for a full album is a joke !
