This is a circus performance and a wild after party with Dylalien and Parus. Even if you cant make the show, come to the after party, its only $10 and you will be supporting a great cause! please check out the links below for more info on the project!

Journey through the dreaming life of a clown ~ meet enchanted dolls, abstract aerialists, financial district freaks, and an otherworldly array of acrobatic ~ juggling ~ hula-hooping ~ fire-flinging ~ fantastickal creatures.
All proceeds will benefit the Dreamtime India Tour that will bring free circus performances to villages and refugee communities throughout India from September 2007 to March 2008.

Amber is a San Francisco-based techno and tech-house DJ and producer with a driving beat and aggressively risky mixing technique. In 2003, Amber co-founded NorCal DJ and Music Production Academy in San Francisco, where she develops and instructs DJ courses.

Dylalien
Dylalien - a mixture of Dylan and Alien, is a sound artist currently living in San Francisco, California. Channeling mostly pop music from
the planets around the star Alpha Centauri, Dylalien often sees music as already existing, in the ether around us, which allows for many of
his compositions to write themselves. He currently travels around the world on a yellow submarine with the musical project, the Fractal Cowboys, where he plays bass guitar. For a while Dylalien was convinced he a was teetles, from the yobble planet, and that he was on earth to make noises with other humans which would make crystal pyramids containing information in holographic, akashic form appear, but has placed this project on hold until mid december 2012... http://www.myspace.com/fractalcowboys
Parus
Parus is a psychedelic music project of twin brothers Mark and Valentin Tarasov that was born in the summer of 2000. Growing up in
Latvia, Valentin Tarasov attended music school and learned to play the piano while Mark learned to play the guitar. After the break-up of the Soviet Union, they moved to California and in 1996, together with their older brother Eugene, they formed a Russian rock band called Still Night, with Valentin on the keyboard and Mark playing the bass guitar. Soon after, they were introduced to trance music and the idea of Parus was born. Parus has performed on numerous stages, including performances at Burning Man and the annual Love Parade in San Francisco. http://www.parus.net

to me is a farce ! Wat will india benefit from ur tour ??

We are making a six month tour of India putting on FREE circus shows at refugee camps, villages, etc. All the performers are paying their own way to get there. The funds we raise will go towards the cost of putting on such a traveling circus.
here is our mission statement:
The 21st Century Dreamtime Circus is a troupe of fire fairies, clowns, musicians, and all types of other magical and fantastical creatures who travel far and wide to share the uplifting experience of the circus with the peoples of the world. We seek to use fire and circus arts as mediums for fostering cross-cultural communication and open exchanges of cultural ideas and artistic expressions. As offerings of good will and solidarity, we perform free circus performances for the communities we visit, focusing our efforts on serving those surviving natural disasters, dislocations, or military conflicts. We carry with us respect and apprecation for the world's people, cultures, and land and a postiive vision for the planet's future.... please, join us!
There are many, many people working hard on this project, working hard to create a positive new reality. The connection to Psy is that many of us are psytrancers  and the afterparty will be playing... you guessed it! Psytrance! It would be great if you could take the time to at least check out the website before you openly attack the project!

Im sure poor refugee ppl in india dont need a Circus for their upliftment, thy need food water clothing for a change . Plus u talk of india as tho india is really backwards... dude if u really wanna help cool,but there are other countries n places that need ur help. U guys are just coming hre so that u can have a vacation and party . I wud like to see ur contacts here in india .... are u associated wit Cry,helpage india, or any such organisation ?? if not this deal again looks like a sham.
Iv been to ur website and all i found was pictures of clowns , Come on ur mission statement is all crap. Wat do u mean by cross cultural learning ?? get on the interent if u want to learn abt india ,but dont disguise ur intentions of coming here and scheming urs and our authorities wit it .
Im so sure that without permissions if u play psytrance here after the recent party bust ur circus will be in trouble .
Please do not take this an attack as i am also confused and being an indian want to get it clear that wtf u guys think abt this humble nation of ours .
At times it feels that u guys want to come enjoy here get high n really not care abt anything else , and on top of it all disguising it wit a cause that no1 can comprehend or b bothere abt to discuss here in india .
Im desperately waiting for ur reply to this .

if its free in rural india where there is no electricity no water no food - u will not raise funds !!!

after saying all this , Id want to say , i have deep respect for MOE and their work. Again this is not an attack, Its a genral querry , IF u felt this was an attack on ur work im sorry . But it also sends out the message that u are insecure and not sure abt wat u guys want to do.

axis - i think you misunderstand the post - the funds they are raising will happen in SF, not india. they are going to use the proceeds to fund the circus, while the performers will pay for their own way.
if these performers are paying their own way, then there is no good reason to have to hold a fundraiser and ''disguise'' their cause because the proceeds will go to producing the circus events. if they just wanted to get high and do nothing, they can just do that without having to go thru the trouble of making a fundraiser and travelling in circuses!
i understand how you think this is a case of some sham charity claiming to help but doing nothing, as I am sure there are a lot of these cases here. but if you read above that the performers will pay their own way and all the proceeds are going toward the circus and not for their personal expenses, it should be easy to see that their motivation for going to india is not to get high and do nothing.
i do agree about food and water coming first, even though lifting the spirits of those down on hard times are very important too. I hope they have looked into the places they are going!! Also considering that many refugee camps and displaced citizens are up in the north, it seems a bit crazy to me that they are going in the winter......but india is a big country and i certainly dont know all of the regions so....
anyway i wish the best for this project to affecta ll in a positive way! good luck  |

MOE don take wat ppl say to heart. Recently sum 1 was beaten up real bad and HE iz da insecure one not you. no wonder hez takin his frustrations out HERE. moe believe in da beauty of your cause and go ahead with whatz planned. it will be appreciated i am certain. U gys hv the full support of the Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore & Calcuta community

When it comes to these activities, it doesn't matter who you are, where you are from, what your background is, etc, if we can laugh together we feel connected. Have you ever been to an international festival? Its such an amazing feeling dancing among thousands of people who you have never met before, who you may not share anything in common with except this one moment - but really, that is all it takes, just one moment.
We are not the first group to decide to do something like this. There are many other organizations, like Clowns Without Borders, The Bread and Cheese Circus, etc
We are raising all the funds we need for the circus here, and the performers are all paying out of their pockets to get there. We are not asking anything in return from the communities we visit, and we are NOT going there to "party".
Right now, as I am typing this I am sitting in an office in San Francisco working a boring job, paying my bills, trying to life my life in the most conscious way i can. But i have a strong desire to do something more meaningful! When i leave the country with the circus i hope to help spread laughter and joy to the people we visit. If even one of our performances is something that will positively affect the life of even one kid, than the journey will be worth it.

Hey Axis of Evil... if you didnt read any of MOE's posts click on the merry-go-round on the Dreamtime page and that will get you a mission statement. Read that.

I think not.
Seriously though... these people are great and what they're trying to do is sincerely genuine and not a scam.
So quit trying to rain on their parade... err Circus.
