I know that Erez is a big fan of ’Dream Theater’ .. So to all of you that are fans (or know of ‘Dream Theater’) as well. Could you please tell me witch ‘Infected Mushroom’, ‘Shapadu’ or ‘I’Zen’ track that are similar to a ‘Dream Theater’ track? I’m thinking of melody and so on.

Thanks a million for the help

Nice.. I'v only listened to Dream Theater's newest album a few times. And as you maybe know; I'm a huge fan
of rock (less now then before i began to enjoy psytrance though), ecpesialy "good" nu metal. Not 'Twisted Sister' and so on But i enjoy rock that gives me something. Like Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, System Of A Down, Rage against Mashine, deftones and bla bla bla..

pack to my point, 'Dream Theater gave me something.. But i'm also a huge fan of 'IM', because they showed me the world of psytrance (i'v always loved electronica, like The Orb to Tiesto as well as rock)

ok, hehe. finaly. This is my question to you:

I don't know if you love iNfEcTed or not, but if you do, shouldnt you be able to help me since you love 'Dream Theater'?

most of all, we need love, peace and unity

I love Dream Theater. I have all their original CDs.

They are great musicians and do some well-crafted progressive metal.

The worse Dream Theater album, IMO, is the last one.

Their best albums are: Images and Words, Awake, Metropolis (Scenes from a Memory) and Falling into Infinity. The double album, Six Degrees, are not as good as their previous ones...

The IM track called 'Dream Theater" has no Dream Theater melody as far as I'm concerned.

Any other especific question?

Heheei.. I'm not comparing at all. I'm just wondering if erez "ripped" off any melody ect. from 'Dream Theater' .. And as a huge 'Tool' fan I can say that i agree. but but.. there is always a but.

Still there is no one that has answerd my question;

No, there aren't any Infected Track related to Dream Theater as far as I know. Except their track called Dream Theater in which, if you have enough imagination, you can believe the sounds/melodies between 2:55 and 3:45 (or maybe between 3:20 and 4:10) and similar from a Dream Theater song (I think it's Metropolis, from their album Images and Words, but maybe I'm wrong... I have to check this out). But you have to use your imagination...

I'm a Dream Theater fan... I liked Dream Theater ten years before I even know psytrance existed. I have their album, went to their shows, I'm a member in their oficial forum. So, I must agree with tsabeat: Dream Theater is musicaly richer than Infected. But Infected also rulez...

I wanna see a track by Dream Theater and Infected Together. I already read an interview in which the Infected guys said they would like to work with the Dream theater guys (who in the world would not like to work with Petrocci, Myung and Portnoy?).

I'm gonna check the DT stuff (at home), latter I will post it here.

Full_On; Just wanted to say, thanks!!
I'm acctuly really good at using my imagination. It's just that i'v never really listened to Dream Theater before, and i dont got any of the albums. But a friend of mine that is a fan, are going to burn 2 DT cd's for me as a teaser.. One old, and one new. What i'v heard so far = loved it.

*peace*

Of all of Infected Mushroom's tracks, "Dancing With Kadafi" has the most blatantly obvious Dream Theater influences. There is no blatant ripping off of any of Dream Theater's parts exactly, but the way the track is put together, with all the sudden changes and quick evolvution is pretty much straight out of the Dream Theater book of song making. I've been listening to and playing Dream Theater tracks for about 12 years or so, so when I first heard Dancing With Kadafi I was actually laughing at how wonderfully Infected Mushroom copied the Dream Theater model and applied it to psy-trance.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity
