Just a fun little hypothetical exercise.
Assume resources are not a issue, nor are visas..
You have a killer outdoor venue at your disposal and a 24 hour long event.
Assume you are doing this in your home scene.
You can book 12 acts (2 hour sets), but at least half need to be domestic, homegrown talent (dj or producers)
slots would run from
6pm-8pm
8pm-10pm
10pm-midnite
midnite-2am
2am-4am
4am-6am
6am-8am
8am-10am
10am-noon
noon-2pm
2pm-4pm
4pm-6pm
who would you book? (fill in the blanks)
... this isn't really another who do you want to see thread. Think about it, think about acts that would work well together, in your own opinion of course. Acts that would unite a dance floor and work with in the style and vibe of whatever your home scene is.
No right or wrong answers here, just a nice glimpse into how people view things.
put your scene in your answer... i think this little exercise could give a nice little snap shot into the psy demographics of the US.
Ill put mine out there in a bit, i just want to kinda see what everyone else comes up with
PS... DJ's and producers... leave yourself out. Its about your choices in picking other people

this is rather a delicious excercise. it is quite difficult to fill in afternoon/early evening slots when all i listen to is dark tracks but heres my quick draft, though i can think of 100 artists btwn the times 10pm-10am:

I know the flow might be abrupt at first but i'd be willing to sacrifice it to hear the acts id want to more. plus until 10 or so i feel the flow isnt nearly as important (just imo) as once the show gets rollin
