Dragonfly, as we have grown to love & expect, have released another high octane album, this time from the trance legend himself Martin Freeland aka Man With No Name (MWNN).
Like expected from a trance tycoon like MWNN it is a flawless production that blends well with Dragonfly's high standards.
The albums line is smooth and intelligent, holding an excellent flow all the way through, "forcing" the listener to just listen from the beginning right through till the end.
The album begin with a wonderful track, Axis Flip, you get the feeling you heard this one before, maybe as a result of its nice retrodelic , awesome old school trance epic. The feeling of "I think I know that one" will follow you warmly throughout this whole album, an enchanting salute to goa and the old school trance maneuvers.
Space Juice, progress nicely leading the listener to a powerful emotional end exploding with great joy. Reincarnation is a work of art that that deserves total attention, another timeless track. It's one of the most emotional tracks I heard in years, without any doubt one of the best tracks this year.

MWNN was one of my favorite artists from my early days in the trance scene and it looks like he is going to stay one of my favorite artists, the time and experience he gained gave him the power to obtain that great standards he puts in, placing him solidly as one of the Phantoms of the trance scene. At this standard of artists there is no need to read reviews or even hear it in the store , you just need to go buy it, listen and enjoy.

Title: Interstate Highway
Artist: Man With No Name
Label: Dragonfly Records
At a time when very dark elements are prevailing the psychedelic world, it is refreshing to see the return of the talents of Martin Freeland, aka Man With No Name. The past saw him release fluffy, fun and carefree psychedelia, and these elements from the past have been fused directly into his latest offering. As an album Interstate Highway is diverse; beats range from funky house through to power trance, and echoes of classic MWNN trademark riffs echo throughout. However underlying it all is a 21st century growl that does exactly what it has been designed for – make a 21st century dance floor rock. FB

Bloody Hell! This is amazing...thought it deserved a bump.

That East 98th Street track does it for me every time!           Within this timeless gathering,
a shining light does dance,
lost from conscious memory,
but visible in trance!

this track is not new, i have a "tripster" remix of it in a compilation that is already 2 years old. and it is even better than the original

Man With No Name is dead.
Him urban sci-fi experience is end and I think
"Interstate Highway" was writtened for 4-5
weeks + old stuff. Martin Freeland made
commercial product for asked managers not for
listeners. Tracks is NOT TALKING with You as
in "Moment of Truth" LP or old E.P.'s
Long time Martin don't written in THIS DIRECTION
and losted music form. Just tribute.
4/10
Think clearly.

One of the best goa albums ever. Axis Flip, Lights Out, Space Juice and all the tracks have an elegant touch that I do miss. Do you guys have any news from MWNN, a new album perhaps? The most recent tracks were also amazing, my favorite being String Theory.

By the way,
10/10 for this true psychedelic album.

Still a nice album. If you have it in your collection and haven't listened to it in a while (like I did) then it definately deserves relistening.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."
